Betty Teo

Betty obtained her Diploma in Occupational Therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 1999 and graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2001. In 2003, she was awarded the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Program (HMDP) fellowship where she was attached at the world renowned Klinert and Kutz Hand Care Centre at Louisville, Kentucky, USA.  She obtained her Myofascial Level I and II certification in 2005 and Kineso Taping KT1 and KT2 certification in 2016. She is also a certified specialist in Functional Assessment and certificated evaluator in Physical Work Performance Evaluation (PWPE).

Having worked in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital for 25 years, Betty has gained valuable experience as an occupational therapist. In her earlier years working at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, she rotated between various inpatient and outpatient settings ranging from neurology, orthopedic and musculoskeletal units. But it was the specialized field of hand therapy and upper limb rehabilitation that stood out as she developed a strong interest in.  Betty is caring, genuine and passionate about hand rehabilitation. She believes in collaborating with her patients and empowering them to overcome the challenges from their injuries to regain function to engage in meaningful activities.

Betty’s other interests are badminton, baking and crafting.
